It is truly a privilege to welcome you to The TonsBridge MUN 2026.

For me, Model United Nations has never been just about speeches or awards. It has been a journey of finding my voice, learning to stand by my ideas, and understanding the power of listening to others. Every conference has shaped me in ways I didn’t expect, and it is incredibly meaningful to now stand in a position where I can help create that same experience for all of you.

As Deputy Secretary-General, my vision for this conference is deeply personal. This year, under the theme “Advancing a Cooperative World Order: Multipolarity, Institutional Reform, and Policy Innovation for Global Stability,” I hope to encourage discussions that go beyond the surface, conversations that challenge existing systems, explore evolving global dynamics, and inspire innovative solutions. I want this to be a space where you feel heard, valued, and inspired, where you are not afraid to make mistakes, take that extra chance to speak, or challenge an idea that doesn’t sit right with you. Because in those moments, real growth happens. While growth is not always comfortable, it is always worth it.

I hope you walk into your committees not just with preparation, but with passion. Speak when your voice shakes, listen when it’s difficult, and respect differing perspectives. Some of your most memorable moments here will not come from winning, but from connecting with ideas, with people, and with yourself. The conversations and challenges you encounter here will stay with you far beyond the closing ceremony.

Model United Nations, at its core, is about people. It is about understanding stories that are not your own, representing unheard voices, and learning to navigate differences with maturity and respect. I encourage you to embrace this responsibility with sincerity. Be mindful of the impact your words carry, and use them not just to argue, but to build, question, and inspire.

If there is one thing I hope you take back from this conference, it is confidence, not just as a delegate, but as an individual who has something meaningful to say. Confidence to speak, to stand firm in your beliefs, and the humility to grow when your perspectives are challenged.

Above all, I hope you allow this experience to shape you. Step beyond your comfort zones, form connections, and make the most of every moment. Because this is more than just a conference; it is an opportunity to grow into someone who leads with thought, empathy, and purpose.
